April Photo Diary: Easter, Pins, The Big Moon

April has been a quiet enough month because I've been trying to get all my assignments finished but I did manage to squeeze in a few gigs!

I went to see The Big Moon at Rise in Bristol. I haven't been to this record shop before and I really liked it, they have such a wide selection and they also sell vintage clothes. Downstairs they have a coffee bar and a stage. It was great to see The Big Moon again and hear some of their new songs for the first time.

I pre-ordered their new vinyl Love in the 4th Dimension with Rise and I was chuffed to get a limited edition vinyl :) They offer 10% off pre-orders for vinyl so its such a good place to buy new releases.

I also went to see Pins in Cardiff with my boyfriend. Pins are one of my favourite bands to see live. They just keep getting better. My favourite songs from the new EP called Bad Thing are Aggrophobe which features the one and only Iggy Pop and the song Bad Thing

They invited some of us up on stage for a little dance, as you can see I was really going for it :P

I went home for Easter this month and just had a quiet weekend, catching up on essays while munching on chocolate

We also had an 80th party for my grandad when I went home. It was more like a wedding than a party with the amount of food and music.

I wore this fab trench coat from ASOS over the tea dress featured in my last post. I also wore a fluffy peach bag and peach shoes. I've been loving this mac so much this month, its such a classic peach and the quality is amazing.

I went to a lock in at Cabot Circus this month. I didn't really see much that I wanted but I did pick up a few basics including this cute lover tee which is now sadly sold out and Joni shorts from Topshop. I also got this month's issue of Dazed and Confused because the interview with Lana Del Rey looks so good.

This is a picture from a few days ago when I got my hair-cut and I finished my last ever exam!!

Next month I'm going to Paris (again) and I'm going to see The Kills (again) I'm so predictable haha

The Topshop Tea Dress + Wishlist

Black Tea Dress - Topshop
Sunglasses - River Island (sold out similar here)
Velvet Heels - Topshop (sold out similar here)

I took these pictures a few weeks back when I first wore this dress. I've worn it about twice since because I absolutely love it. I think the tea dress style really suits my body shape and its so easy to wear. I love the ruched sleeve and the polka dot detail on this black dress from Topshop. Tea dresses also look great as both a daytime dress and a going out dress. I wore it to a party last weekend with a peach furry clutch bag and heels and it looked so cute.

Topshop have such a cute selection of tea dresses this summer. I've already bought the red one with ruffles even though the last thing I need is more red dresses! Here are a few of my favourite tea dresses ...

Horfield Common

pink blouse - topshop (sold out similar herehere and here)
gingham leggings - topshop

Just a couple of pictures from one of the first sunny days this Spring, I wish we could have more days off together like this. We took the pictures in the park near out flat. The daffodils have just come out so its so pretty. It was a pretty windy day so I was fighting with my hair in most pictures. I really love this pink top, the sleeves are amazing. I've had these gingham leggings for quite a while but I thought I'd resurrect them since gingham is so popular this season. I hope you're enjoying the sun this weekend, I'm torn between writing my essays and going out the sun, why does the sun always come out during exam season!

March Photo Diary: Internship, Warpaint, New Vinyl

At the beginning of March I got a marketing internship at a charity in Bristol so I'm working there every Tuesday :) I still work as a waitress on the weekends and its essay time at uni so the blog is taking a bit of a back seat

I bought these amazing shoes from Public Desire, they're basically dupes of the Stella McCartney flatforms but sadly they don't fit :( I usually have this problem because all shoes are too long for me, or else my feet are just too short either way its major first world problems

The weather has been so good in Bristol recently, it really is a lot sunnier down south, this a picture of a field of daffodils in the park outside my flat which is very #spring

my parents came over for a visit this month and we went to Bath. Its a really pretty city. I want to go back there with Mum and try out the Thermae Bath Spa, it looks so good

Me and Chris went to see Warpaint in Birmingham and they were so good, it has really made me want to start playing bass again, it has taken a bit of a back seat too

we stayed in the Pentahotel in Birmingham, we stayed there last time we went to a gig in Birmingham and loved it

the decor is lush

Birmingham Bowie!

we took a quick trip to HMV and I got this Blondie vinyl for only £7.99, such a bargain

I also got this stooges re-issue that I was eyeing for ages but tbh the Bowie remix is quite bad, I prefer the original remix a lot more

I'm making some fashion content for my Digital Marketing project atm so there should be some outfit shots appearing here soon :)
